1. Tiṇakaṭṭhasuttaṃ

124. Evaṃ me sutaṃ – ekaṃ samayaṃ bhagavā sāvatthiyaṃ viharati jetavane anāthapiṇḍikassa ārāme. Tatra kho bhagavā bhikkhū āmantesi – ‘‘bhikkhavo’’ti. ‘‘Bhadante’’ti te bhikkhū bhagavato paccassosuṃ. Bhagavā etadavoca –

‘‘Anamataggoyaṃ [anamataggāyaṃ (pī. ka.)] bhikkhave, saṃsāro. Pubbā koṭi na paññāyati avijjānīvaraṇānaṃ sattānaṃ taṇhāsaṃyojanānaṃ sandhāvataṃ saṃsarataṃ. Seyyathāpi, bhikkhave, puriso yaṃ imasmiṃ jambudīpe tiṇakaṭṭhasākhāpalāsaṃ taṃ chetvā [tacchetvā (bahūsu)] ekajjhaṃ saṃharitvā caturaṅgulaṃ caturaṅgulaṃ ghaṭikaṃ katvā nikkhipeyya – ‘ayaṃ me mātā, tassā me mātu ayaṃ mātā’ti, apariyādinnāva [apariyādiṇṇāva (sī.)] bhikkhave, tassa purisassa mātumātaro assu, atha imasmiṃ jambudīpe tiṇakaṭṭhasākhāpalāsaṃ parikkhayaṃ pariyādānaṃ gaccheyya. 如是我闻。一时，世尊住舍卫城(现今印度北方邦斯拉瓦斯蒂县)祇树给孤独园。在那里，世尊对比丘们说道："诸比丘。"那些比丘回答世尊说："尊者。"世尊如是说：
"诸比丘，这轮回是无始的。被无明所覆盖、被爱欲所束缚的众生，流转轮回，其最初起点是不可知的。诸比丘，假如有人把这阎浮提洲(古印度对印度次大陆的称呼)上的草木枝叶砍下来，集中在一起，做成四指长四指长的小棍，然后放下说：'这是我的母亲，这是我母亲的母亲'，诸比丘，那个人的母系祖先尚未穷尽，这阎浮提洲上的草木枝叶就已经用完了。这是什么原因呢？诸比丘，这轮回是无始的。被无明所覆盖、被爱欲所束缚的众生，流转轮回，其最初起点是不可知的。诸比丘，你们长久以来已经经历了如此多的苦难、剧烈的痛苦、灾难，尸骨堆积如山。诸比丘，这足以使人厌离一切有为法，足以使人离欲，足以使人解脱。"第一。
大地经
住在舍卫城......(略)......"诸比丘，这轮回是无始的。被无明所覆盖、被爱欲所束缚的众生，流转轮回，其最初起点是不可知的。诸比丘，假如有人把这大地做成枣核大小枣核大小的泥团，然后放下说：'这是我的父亲，这是我父亲的父亲'，诸比丘，那个人的父系祖先尚未穷尽，这大地就已经用完了。这是什么原因呢？诸比丘，这轮回是无始的。被无明所覆盖、被爱欲所束缚的众生，流转轮回，其最初起点是不可知的。诸比丘，你们长久以来已经经历了如此多的苦难、剧烈的痛苦、灾难，尸骨堆积如山。诸比丘，这足以使人厌离一切有为法，足以使人离欲，足以使人解脱。"第二。

Ekamantaṃ nisinno kho so bhikkhu bhagavantaṃ etadavoca – ‘‘kīvadīgho nu kho, bhante, kappo’’ti? ‘‘Dīgho kho, bhikkhu, kappo. So na sukaro saṅkhātuṃ ettakāni vassāni iti vā, ettakāni vassasatāni iti vā, ettakāni vassasahassāni iti vā, ettakāni vassasatasahassāni iti vā’’ti.

‘‘Sakkā pana, bhante, upamaṃ kātu’’nti? ‘‘Sakkā, bhikkhū’’ti bhagavā avoca. ‘‘Seyyathāpi , bhikkhu, mahāselo pabbato yojanaṃ āyāmena yojanaṃ vitthārena yojanaṃ ubbedhena acchinno asusiro ekagghano. Tamenaṃ puriso vassasatassa vassasatassa accayena kāsikena vatthena sakiṃ sakiṃ parimajjeyya. Khippataraṃ kho so, bhikkhu, mahāselo pabbato iminā upakkamena parikkhayaṃ pariyādānaṃ gaccheyya , na tveva kappo. Evaṃ dīgho, bhikkhu, kappo. Evaṃ dīghānaṃ kho, bhikkhu , kappānaṃ neko kappo saṃsito, nekaṃ kappasataṃ saṃsitaṃ, nekaṃ kappasahassaṃ saṃsitaṃ, nekaṃ kappasatasahassaṃ saṃsitaṃ. Taṃ kissa hetu? Anamataggoyaṃ, bhikkhu, saṃsāro. Tato puriso vassasatassa vassasatassa accayena ekamekaṃ sāsapaṃ uddhareyya. Khippataraṃ kho so, bhikkhu mahāsāsaparāsi iminā upakkamena parikkhayaṃ pariyādānaṃ gaccheyya, na tveva kappo. Atha kho sambahulā bhikkhū yena bhagavā…pe… ekamantaṃ nisinnā kho te bhikkhū bhagavantaṃ etadavocuṃ – ‘‘kīvabahukā nu kho, bhante, kappā abbhatītā atikkantā’’ti? ‘‘Bahukā kho, bhikkhave , kappā abbhatītā atikkantā. Te na sukarā saṅkhātuṃ – ‘ettakā kappā iti vā, ettakāni kappasatāni iti vā, ettakāni kappasahassāni iti vā, ettakāni kappasatasahassāni iti vā’’’ti.

‘‘Sakkā pana, bhante, upamaṃ kātu’’nti? ‘‘Sakkā, bhikkhave’’ti bhagavā avoca. ‘‘Idhassu, bhikkhave, cattāro sāvakā vassasatāyukā vassasatajīvino. Te divase divase kappasatasahassaṃ kappasatasahassaṃ anussareyyuṃ. Ananussaritāva bhikkhave, tehi kappā assu, atha kho te cattāro sāvakā vassasatāyukā vassasatajīvino vassasatassa accayena kālaṃ kareyyuṃ. Evaṃ bahukā kho, bhikkhave, kappā abbhatītā atikkantā. Te na sukarā saṅkhātuṃ – ‘ettakā kappā iti vā, ettakāni kappasatāni iti vā, ettakāni kappasahassāni iti vā, ettakāni kappasatasahassāni iti vā’ti. Taṃ kissa hetu? 住在舍卫城......(略)......园中。那时，有一位比丘来到世尊所在之处；来到后，向世尊礼拜，然后坐在一旁。坐在一旁的那位比丘对世尊说："尊者，一劫有多长？""比丘，一劫很长。要计算它有多少年、多少百年、多少千年或多少十万年是很难的。"
"尊者，能否作个比喻？""可以，比丘。"世尊说，"比丘，假设有一座大石山，长一由旬，宽一由旬，高一由旬，坚实无孔，整体如一。如果有人每一百年用迦尸布擦拭一次，这座大石山会因这种方法而更快地耗尽、消失，而一劫还未结束。比丘，一劫就是这么长。比丘，如此长的劫数，不只一劫已经轮回，不只百劫已经轮回，不只千劫已经轮回，不只十万劫已经轮回。这是什么原因呢？比丘，这轮回是无始的。最初起点......(略)......比丘，这足以使人厌离一切有为法，足以使人离欲，足以使人解脱。"第五。
6. 芥子经
住在舍卫城。那时，有一位比丘来到世尊所在之处......(略)......坐在一旁的那位比丘对世尊说："尊者，一劫有多长？""比丘，一劫很长。要计算它有多少年......(略)......或多少十万年是很难的。"
"尊者，能否作个比喻？""可以，比丘。"世尊说，"比丘，假设有一座铁城，长一由旬，宽一由旬，高一由旬，装满了芥子，堆积如山。如果有人每一百年取出一粒芥子，这堆巨大的芥子会因这种方法而更快地耗尽、消失，而一劫还未结束。比丘，一劫就是这么长。比丘，如此长的劫数，不只一劫已经轮回，不只百劫已经轮回，不只千劫已经轮回，不只十万劫已经轮回。这是什么原因呢？比丘，这轮回是无始的......(略)......足以解脱。"第六。
7. 弟子经
住在舍卫城。那时，许多比丘来到世尊所在之处......(略)......坐在一旁的那些比丘对世尊说："尊者，已经过去了多少劫？""比丘们，已经过去了很多劫。要计算它们有多少劫、多少百劫、多少千劫或多少十万劫是很难的。"
"尊者，能否作个比喻？""可以，比丘们。"世尊说，"比丘们，假设这里有四位寿命百岁的弟子。他们每天都能回忆十万劫。比丘们，即使这样，他们也无法回忆所有的劫数，而这四位寿命百岁的弟子在一百年后就会去世。比丘们，已经过去了如此多的劫。要计算它们有多少劫、多少百劫、多少千劫或多少十万劫是很难的。这是什么原因呢？比丘们，这轮回是无始的......(略)......足以解脱。"第七。

131. Rājagahe viharati veḷuvane. Atha kho aññataro brāhmaṇo yena bhagavā tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā bhagavatā saddhiṃ sammodi. Sammodanīyaṃ kathaṃ sāraṇīyaṃ vītisāretvā ekamantaṃ nisīdi. Ekamantaṃ nisinno kho so brāhmaṇo bhagavantaṃ etadavoca – ‘‘kīvabahukā nu kho, bho gotama, kappā abbhatītā atikkantā’’ti? ‘‘Bahukā kho, brāhmaṇa, kappā abbhatītā atikkantā. Te na sukarā saṅkhātuṃ – ‘ettakā kappā iti vā, ettakāni kappasatāni iti vā, ettakāni kappasahassāni iti vā, ettakāni kappasatasahassāni iti vā’’’ti.

‘‘Sakkā pana, bho gotama, upamaṃ kātu’’nti? ‘‘Sakkā, brāhmaṇā’’ti bhagavā avoca. ‘‘Seyyathāpi, brāhmaṇa, yato cāyaṃ gaṅgā nadī pabhavati yattha ca mahāsamuddaṃ appeti, yā etasmiṃ antare vālikā sā na sukarā saṅkhātuṃ – ‘ettakā vālikā iti vā, ettakāni vālikasatāni iti vā, ettakāni vālikasahassāni iti vā, ettakāni vālikasatasahassāni iti vā’ti. Tato bahutarā kho, brāhmaṇa, kappā abbhatītā atikkantā. Te na sukarā saṅkhātuṃ – ‘ettakā kappā iti vā, ettakāni kappasatāni iti vā, ettakāni kappasahassāni iti vā, ettakāni kappasatasahassāni iti vā’ti. Taṃ kissa hetu? Anamataggoyaṃ, brāhmaṇa, saṃsāro. Pubbā koṭi na paññāyati avijjānīvaraṇānaṃ sattānaṃ taṇhāsaṃyojanānaṃ sandhāvataṃ saṃsarataṃ. Evaṃ dīgharattaṃ kho, brāhmaṇa, dukkhaṃ paccanubhūtaṃ tibbaṃ paccanubhūtaṃ byasanaṃ paccanubhūtaṃ, kaṭasī vaḍḍhitā. Evaṃ vutte, so brāhmaṇo bhagavantaṃ etadavoca – ‘‘abhikkantaṃ, bho gotama, abhikkantaṃ, bho gotama…pe… upāsakaṃ maṃ bhavaṃ gotamo dhāretu ajjatagge pāṇupetaṃ saraṇaṃ gata’’nti. Aṭṭhamaṃ.

9. Daṇḍasuttaṃ

132. Sāvatthiyaṃ viharati…pe… ‘‘anamataggoyaṃ, bhikkhave, saṃsāro. Pubbā koṭi na paññāyati avijjānīvaraṇānaṃ sattānaṃ taṇhāsaṃyojanānaṃ sandhāvataṃ saṃsarataṃ. Seyyathāpi, bhikkhave, daṇḍo uparivehāsaṃ khitto sakimpi mūlena nipatati, sakimpi majjhena nipatati, sakimpi antena nipatati; evameva kho, bhikkhave, avijjānīvaraṇā sattā taṇhāsaṃyojanā sandhāvantā saṃsarantā sakimpi asmā lokā paraṃ lokaṃ gacchanti, sakimpi parasmā lokā imaṃ lokaṃ āgacchanti. 10. Puggalasuttaṃ

‘‘Anamataggoyaṃ , bhikkhave, saṃsāro…pe… ekapuggalassa, bhikkhave, kappaṃ sandhāvato saṃsarato siyā evaṃ mahā aṭṭhikaṅkalo aṭṭhipuñjo aṭṭhirāsi yathāyaṃ vepullo pabbato, sace saṃhārako assa, sambhatañca na vinasseyya. Taṃ kissa hetu? Anamataggoyaṃ, bhikkhave, saṃsāro…pe… alaṃ vimuccitu’’nti.

Idamavoca bhagavā. Idaṃ vatvāna sugato athāparaṃ etadavoca satthā –

‘‘Ekassekena kappena, puggalassaṭṭhisañcayo;

Siyā pabbatasamo rāsi, iti vuttaṃ mahesinā.

‘‘So kho panāyaṃ akkhāto, vepullo pabbato mahā;

Uttaro gijjhakūṭassa, magadhānaṃ giribbaje.

‘‘Yato ca ariyasaccāni, sammappaññāya passati;

Dukkhaṃ dukkhasamuppādaṃ, dukkhassa ca atikkamaṃ;

Ariyaṃ caṭṭhaṅgikaṃ maggaṃ, dukkhūpasamagāminaṃ.

‘‘Sa sattakkhattuṃparamaṃ, sandhāvitvāna puggalo;

Dukkhassantakaro hoti, sabbasaṃyojanakkhayā’’ti. dasamaṃ;

8. 恒河经
住在王舍城(现今印度比哈尔邦巴特那市附近)竹林园。那时，有一位婆罗门来到世尊所在之处；来到后，与世尊互相问候。寒暄礼节过后，坐在一旁。坐在一旁的那位婆罗门对世尊说："尊敬的乔达摩，已经过去了多少劫？""婆罗门，已经过去了很多劫。要计算它们有多少劫、多少百劫、多少千劫或多少十万劫是很难的。"
"尊敬的乔达摩，能否作个比喻？""可以，婆罗门。"世尊说，"婆罗门，就像从恒河的源头到它汇入大海的这段距离中的沙粒，很难计算出'有这么多沙粒'或'有这么多百沙粒'或'有这么多千沙粒'或'有这么多十万沙粒'。婆罗门，已经过去的劫数比这还要多得多。要计算它们有多少劫、多少百劫、多少千劫或多少十万劫是很难的。这是什么原因呢？婆罗门，这轮回是无始的。被无明所覆盖、被爱欲所束缚的众生，流转轮回，其最初起点是不可知的。婆罗门，你们长久以来已经经历了如此多的苦难、剧烈的痛苦、灾难，尸骨堆积如山。婆罗门，这足以使人厌离一切有为法，足以使人离欲，足以使人解脱。"
说完这些，那位婆罗门对世尊说："太妙了，尊敬的乔达摩，太妙了，尊敬的乔达摩......(略)......愿尊敬的乔达摩从今以后接受我为优婆塞，终生皈依。"第八。
9. 棍子经
住在舍卫城......(略)......"诸比丘，这轮回是无始的。被无明所覆盖、被爱欲所束缚的众生，流转轮回，其最初起点是不可知的。诸比丘，就像一根棍子被抛向空中，有时会以根部落地，有时会以中部落地，有时会以顶端落地；同样地，诸比丘，被无明所覆盖、被爱欲所束缚的众生，流转轮回，有时从这个世界去到另一个世界，有时从另一个世界来到这个世界。这是什么原因呢？诸比丘，这轮回是无始的......(略)......足以解脱。"第九。
10. 人经
一时，世尊住在王舍城鹫峰山。在那里，世尊对比丘们说："诸比丘。"那些比丘回答世尊说："尊者。"世尊如是说：
"诸比丘，这轮回是无始的......(略)......诸比丘，如果一个人在一劫中流转轮回，他的骨头堆积起来可能会像这毗富罗山一样高，如果有人来收集，而且收集的不会消失。这是什么原因呢？诸比丘，这轮回是无始的......(略)......足以解脱。"
世尊说了这些。说完后，善逝、导师又说了以下内容：
"一个人在一劫中，骨头的堆积；
可能会像山一样高，大仙如是说。
所说的这座大山，名叫毗富罗；
位于鹫峰山北边，摩揭陀国的山城。
当他以正慧，如实见四圣谛；
苦及苦之生起，以及苦的超越；
八支圣道，导向苦的止息。
这样的人最多七次，往返轮回后；
灭尽一切结缚，便成苦的终结者。"第十。

3. Tiṃsamattasuttaṃ

136. Rājagahe viharati veḷuvane. Atha kho tiṃsamattā pāveyyakā [pāṭheyyakā (katthaci) vinayapiṭake mahāvagge kathinakkhandhakepi] bhikkhū sabbe āraññikā sabbe piṇḍapātikā sabbe paṃsukūlikā sabbe tecīvarikā sabbe sasaṃyojanā yena bhagavā tenupasaṅkamiṃsu; upasaṅkamitvā bhagavantaṃ abhivādetvā ekamantaṃ nisīdiṃsu. Atha kho bhagavato etadahosi – ‘‘ime kho tiṃsamattā pāveyyakā bhikkhū sabbe āraññikā sabbe piṇḍapātikā sabbe paṃsukūlikā sabbe tecīvarikā sabbe sasaṃyojanā. ‘‘Idamavoca bhagavā. Attamanā te bhikkhū bhagavato bhāsitaṃ abhinandunti. Imasmiñca pana veyyākaraṇasmiṃ bhaññamāne tiṃsamattānaṃ pāveyyakānaṃ bhikkhūnaṃ anupādāya āsavehi cittāni vimucciṃsū’’ti. Tatiyaṃ.

2. 幸福经
住在舍卫城......(略)......"诸比丘，这轮回是无始的......(略)......诸比丘，当你们看到一个幸福富裕的人时，应该得出这样的结论：'在这漫长的轮回中，我们也曾经历过这样的状况。'这是什么原因呢？诸比丘，这轮回是无始的。最初起点是不可知的......(略)......足以解脱。"第二。
3. 三十位比丘经
住在王舍城竹林园。那时，有三十位来自波婆(Pāvā)的比丘，全都是林居者、托钵乞食者、穿粪扫衣者、只持三衣者，但都还有结缚，来到世尊所在之处；来到后，向世尊礼拜，然后坐在一旁。世尊心想："这三十位来自波婆的比丘，全都是林居者、托钵乞食者、穿粪扫衣者、只持三衣者，但都还有结缚。我应该为他们说法，使他们就在这座位上，心无执取而从诸漏中解脱。"于是世尊对比丘们说："诸比丘。"那些比丘回答世尊说："尊者。"世尊如是说：
"诸比丘，这轮回是无始的。被无明所覆盖、被爱欲所束缚的众生，流转轮回，其最初起点是不可知的。诸比丘，你们认为哪个更多？是你们在这漫长的轮回中，因被斩首而流出的血，还是四大海洋中的水？""尊者，依我们对世尊所教导的法的理解，我们在这漫长的轮回中，因被斩首而流出的血更多，而不是四大海洋中的水。"
"很好，很好，诸比丘。你们很好地理解了我所教导的法。诸比丘，确实你们在这漫长的轮回中，因被斩首而流出的血更多，而不是四大海洋中的水。诸比丘，你们长久以来作为牛而被斩首所流出的血，比四大海洋中的水还多。诸比丘，你们长久以来作为水牛而被斩首所流出的血......(略)......作为羊而被斩首......作为山羊而被斩首......作为鹿而被斩首......作为鸡而被斩首......作为猪而被斩首......诸比丘，你们长久以来作为村里的盗贼而被捕获并斩首所流出的血。诸比丘，你们长久以来作为路上的强盗而被捕获并斩首所流出的血。诸比丘，你们长久以来作为奸夫而被捕获并斩首所流出的血，比四大海洋中的水还多。这是什么原因呢？诸比丘，这轮回是无始的......(略)......足以解脱。"
世尊说了这些。那些比丘满怀欢喜，赞叹世尊所说。当这个解说被宣说时，那三十位来自波婆的比丘，心无执取而从诸漏中解脱。第三。
4. 母亲经

Kakusandhassa, bhikkhave, bhagavato arahato sammāsambuddhassa vidhurasañjīvaṃ nāma sāvakayugaṃ ahosi aggaṃ bhaddayugaṃ. Passatha, bhikkhave, sā cevimassa pabbatassa samaññā antarahitā, te ca manussā kālaṅkatā, so ca bhagavā parinibbuto. Evaṃ aniccā, bhikkhave, saṅkhārā; evaṃ addhuvā, bhikkhave, saṅkhārā; evaṃ anassāsikā, bhikkhave, saṅkhārā. Yāvañcidaṃ, bhikkhave, alameva sabbasaṅkhāresu nibbindituṃ, alaṃ virajjituṃ, alaṃ vimuccituṃ.

‘‘Bhūtapubbaṃ , bhikkhave, imassa vepullassa pabbatassa ‘vaṅkako’tveva samaññā udapādi. Tena kho pana, bhikkhave, samayena manussānaṃ ‘rohitassā’tveva samaññā udapādi. Rohitassānaṃ, bhikkhave, manussānaṃ tiṃsavassasahassāni āyuppamāṇaṃ ahosi. Rohitassā, bhikkhave, manussā vaṅkakaṃ pabbataṃ tīhena ārohanti, tīhena orohanti. Tena kho pana, bhikkhave, samayena koṇāgamano bhagavā arahaṃ sammāsambuddho loke uppanno hoti. Koṇāgamanassa, bhikkhave, bhagavato arahato sammāsambuddhassa bhiyyosuttaraṃ nāma sāvakayugaṃ ahosi aggaṃ bhaddayugaṃ. Passatha, bhikkhave, sā cevimassa pabbatassa samaññā antarahitā, te ca manussā kālaṅkatā, so ca bhagavā parinibbuto. Evaṃ aniccā, bhikkhave, saṅkhārā…pe… alaṃ vimuccituṃ.

Tena kho pana, bhikkhave, samayena manussānaṃ ‘suppiyā’tveva [appiyātveva (sī.)] samaññā udapādi. Suppiyānaṃ, bhikkhave, manussānaṃ vīsativassasahassāni āyuppamāṇaṃ ahosi. Suppiyā, bhikkhave, manussā supassaṃ pabbataṃ dvīhena ārohanti, dvīhena orohanti. Tena kho pana, bhikkhave, samayena kassapo bhagavā arahaṃ sammāsambuddho loke uppanno hoti. Kassapassa, bhikkhave, bhagavato arahato sammāsambuddhassa tissabhāradvājaṃ nāma sāvakayugaṃ ahosi aggaṃ bhaddayugaṃ. Passatha, bhikkhave, sā cevimassa pabbatassa samaññā antarahitā, te ca manussā kālaṅkatā, so ca bhagavā parinibbuto. ‘‘Etarahi kho pana, bhikkhave, imassa vepullassa pabbatassa ‘vepullo’tveva samaññā udapādi. Etarahi kho pana, bhikkhave, imesaṃ manussānaṃ ‘māgadhakā’tveva samaññā udapādi. Māgadhakānaṃ, bhikkhave, manussānaṃ appakaṃ āyuppamāṇaṃ parittaṃ lahukaṃ [lahusaṃ (sī.)]; yo ciraṃ jīvati so vassasataṃ appaṃ vā bhiyyo. Māgadhakā, bhikkhave, manussā vepullaṃ pabbataṃ muhuttena ārohanti muhuttena orohanti. Etarahi kho panāhaṃ, bhikkhave, arahaṃ sammāsambuddho loke uppanno. Mayhaṃ kho pana, bhikkhave, sāriputtamoggallānaṃ nāma sāvakayugaṃ aggaṃ bhaddayugaṃ. Bhavissati, bhikkhave, so samayo yā ayañcevimassa pabbatassa samaññā antaradhāyissati, ime ca manussā kālaṃ karissanti, ahañca parinibbāyissāmi. Evaṃ aniccā, bhikkhave, saṅkhārā; evaṃ addhuvā, bhikkhave, saṅkhārā; evaṃ anassāsikā, bhikkhave, saṅkhārā. "诸比丘，这轮回是无始的。被无明所覆盖、被爱欲所束缚的众生，流转轮回，其最初起点是不可知的。诸比丘，从前这座毗富罗山被称为'东竹山'。那时，人们被称为'提婆拉人'。提婆拉人的寿命是四万岁。诸比丘，提婆拉人用四天时间登上东竹山，用四天时间下山。那时，拘留孙佛、阿罗汉、正等正觉者出现于世间。拘留孙佛、阿罗汉、正等正觉者有一对最优秀的弟子，名叫毗头罗和萨奇瓦。诸比丘，你们看，这座山的名称已经消失了，那些人也都死了，那位佛陀也已经入灭了。诸比丘，诸行如此无常；诸比丘，诸行如此不稳固；诸比丘，诸行如此不可靠。诸比丘，这足以使人厌离一切有为法，足以使人离欲，足以使人解脱。
"诸比丘，从前这座毗富罗山被称为'弯曲山'。那时，人们被称为'罗希达萨人'。罗希达萨人的寿命是三万岁。诸比丘，罗希达萨人用三天时间登上弯曲山，用三天时间下山。那时，拘那含牟尼佛、阿罗汉、正等正觉者出现于世间。拘那含牟尼佛、阿罗汉、正等正觉者有一对最优秀的弟子，名叫毗耶苏和乌达拉。诸比丘，你们看，这座山的名称已经消失了，那些人也都死了，那位佛陀也已经入灭了。诸比丘，诸行如此无常......(略)......足以解脱。
"诸比丘，从前这座毗富罗山被称为'美丽山'。那时，人们被称为'苏皮亚人'。苏皮亚人的寿命是二万岁。诸比丘，苏皮亚人用两天时间登上美丽山，用两天时间下山。那时，迦叶佛、阿罗汉、正等正觉者出现于世间。迦叶佛、阿罗汉、正等正觉者有一对最优秀的弟子，名叫提沙和婆罗豆婆遮。诸比丘，你们看，这座山的名称已经消失了，那些人也都死了，那位佛陀也已经入灭了。诸比丘，诸行如此无常；诸比丘，诸行如此不稳固......(略)......足以解脱。
"诸比丘，现在这座毗富罗山被称为'毗富罗'。现在，这些人被称为'摩揭陀人'。摩揭陀人的寿命很短暂、有限、迅速；长寿者也不过百岁或稍多一些。诸比丘，摩揭陀人用片刻时间登上毗富罗山，用片刻时间下山。现在，我这位阿罗汉、正等正觉者出现于世间。我有一对最优秀的弟子，名叫舍利弗和目犍连。诸比丘，将来会有这样的时候，这座山的名称会消失，这些人会死去，我也会入灭。诸比丘，诸行如此无常；诸比丘，诸行如此不稳固；诸比丘，诸行如此不可靠。诸比丘，这足以使人厌离一切有为法，足以使人离欲，足以使人解脱。"
世尊说了这些。说完后，善逝、导师又说了以下内容：
"提婆拉人称东竹，罗希达萨称弯曲；
苏皮亚人称美丽，摩揭陀称毗富罗。


‘‘Aniccā vata saṅkhārā, uppādavayadhammino;

Uppajjitvā nirujjhanti, tesaṃ vūpasamo sukho’’ti. dasamaṃ;

Dutiyo vaggo.

Tassuddānaṃ –

Duggataṃ sukhitañceva, tiṃsa mātāpitena ca;

Bhātā bhaginī putto ca, dhītā vepullapabbataṃ.


"诸行实为无常，生灭为其本性；
生已终归灭尽，寂灭乃为安乐。"第十。
